Dundonald Links to host 2022 Women’s British Open

Dundonald Links will welcome the world’s best women golfers to Ayrshire as host venue of the Trust Golf Women’s Scottish Open in 2022.

The tournament was previously held over the course from 2015-17. Since then, a multi-million pound enhancement program – including the completion of a new clubhouse and on-course accommodation – has been completed.

The co-sanctioned Trust Golf Women’s Scottish Open is an integral part of the golfing calendar, sitting on both the Ladies European Tour and the LPGA. Last year’s event, held at Dumbarnie Links, was won by UCLA alum Ryann O’Toole – the first title of her professional career.

Dundonald Links was designed by acclaimed US course architect Kyle Phillips, who also created equally-lauded Kingsbarns in Fife – and is noted for its strategic bunkering.

Ian Ferguson, club manager at Dundonald links, said: “We are thrilled to be hosting the Trust Golf Women’s Scottish Open next year. Since we last held it in 2017, the course has undergone vast improvements and we can’t wait to showcase these to golf fans around the world.”
